My song of the month is “Tennis Court” by Lorde (Flume Remix). The song and its remix are a few years old, released in 2013 and 2014, respectively; but I’ve been playing Flume’s masterful remix a lot this month.
Australian producer Flume enhances the New Zealander’s song with ethereal synths, limber beats, and manipulated bass tones that flood forward and sharply rush back underneath Lorde’s stretched vocals. The six-minute do-over deepens the feel of the original, and the visuals in the video are incredibly dope.
