For those of you not familiar with my The Book of Questions feature, I select a question from The Book of Questions by Gregory Stock, Ph.D., write my response, and ask for your response.
QUESTION 66:
Do you feel that advice from older people carries a special weight because of their greater experience?
MY RESPONSE:
In many cases, yes. You should take time to listen to those who’ve already won the game you’re playing.
FOLLOW-UP QUESTION:
Do your comments and suggestions influence other people much? How could you present your ideas so that they would have more impact?
MY RESPONSE:
I’m not sure of the weight of my influence, but I’ve realized that I have a lot more than I thought I did. I’m not sure how to change the presentation of my ideas. I guess we’ll see.
I’d like to hear YOUR RESPONSE or questions/comments on my response.
Take care.

I definitely agree with you, I always value advice from veterans. I too am not so sure of my impact, because I always think who am I in the grand scheme of things? It keeps me grounded though.
